Yes, in the UK, it is a legal requirement to complete fire door inspections, particularly for public, commercial, and residential buildings. This is in accordance with Article 17 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

For buildings over 11 metres high, a formal inspection of fire doors must be completed annually for flat entrance doors, and a check must be done on all fire doors in communal areas at least every 3 months.
