Flux Fire Protection secured the beam encasement and intumescent spraying works as part of the passive fire protection package at Darwin Group’s Nottingham City Hospital extension. The project included a combination of fire rated beam encasement and intumescent spraying to achieve an overall fire protection rating of 60 minutes. Beam encasement was used to allow a seamless tie in with the internal partitioning.
