In early 2023, Flux Fire Protection were responsible for providing the full completion of Nottingham City Hospitals passive fire protection requirements.

Darwin Group ran the scheme at Nottingham City Hospital to deliver two projects – a new double-storey theatre block and a new three-storey General Ward building.

Services provided:

  • Intumescent coatings to steelworks to achieve a fire protection rating of 60 minutes
  • Beam encasement of structural steel to reach a fire rating of 60 minutes. Using a full Siniat system to tie in flush with the internal partitions.
  • Internal fire stopping at Nottingham City Hospital to bring overall compartmentation up to compliance.
